Agenda

Friday April 8 | 7pm-9pm

Learn the impact of projects in public spaces from visiting artists Candy Chang, Hasan Elahi, Iain Kerr (SPURSE), Blaine Merker and Adam Green (REBAR), and Mauricio Pezo & Sofia von Ellrichshausen.

These Design Lab artist teams will give presentations on their respective bodies of work. Reception to follow.

Saturday April 9 | 10am-4pm

Please enter through the C Street entrance and let museum admissions staff know that you’re attending the COMMON SPACE symposium. You won’t be charged for museum admission.

In the morning, design challenge entrants share brief, 3-minute presentations on their entries. Following these presentations, we’ll announce the three winners of the design challenge.

During the lunch period, the five Design Lab artist teams will give 10-minute presentations on their upcoming projects in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau and Nome. Lunch is provided.

In the afternoon, we’ll break into work sessions with the five guest artists. All symposium attendees can participate by sharing, exploring and developing ideas and visions for communal space.
