Exhibits

The International Gallery of Contemporary Art is host to the Common Space exhibition program.

Opening March 4 and running through March 26:

  • An installation by Chad Taylor creating COMMON SPACE.
  • A group exhibition of artworks by Alaskan artists, playing with the idea of “common space” in asking artists to share something that is neither common nor often shared – their artistic process and product. Ten artists have been invited to make their own work common space, taking a completed work or a work in progress and giving it to another artist to take a turn, finish, alter, or affect, etc.
  • An installation in the Guest Room (proposals currently being solicited).
  • A MOBILE STUDIO, with performances and installations occurring outside the gallery walls, throughout the Anchorage community.
  • Special programs and events.
