What would you do if you could play in, change, occupy, affect, improve or adorn a public space?  How would you engage our community to make common space uncommon?

Join the adventure into Alaska’s common spaces. Organize to explore the shared environments that we use everyday: the street, facebook, the coffee shop, the dock, the river, the playground. Declare what you believe, perform what you imagine can happen, install something new, or share what you discover in the spaces around you.

Plan alone or as a team and send us something that shows what you did or plan to do. Submit a photo, video, website, sketch, text, anything that communicates your idea. Whether in the city or the village, head out and help to define what common space means in 2011.

We invite individuals, groups and communities in Alaska to imagine the possibilities for common space on any scale – no idea is too small or too big.
